  4. Add more shredded newspaper or cardboard and organic waste to the second bucket until it’s about three-quarters full.
  5. Repeat the process with the remaining buckets, stacking them on top of each other.
  6. Cover the top bucket with a lid or piece of cardboard to prevent pests from getting in.
  7. After a few months, the bottom bucket should contain nutrient-rich vermicompost that can be added to your garden.
